The organization benefits from an investment from the A*MIDEX university foundation. The foundation carries the Aix-Marseille Initiative of Excellence, winner of the national label obtained in the framework of the PROGRAM INVESTISSEMENTS AVENIR (PIA). The Idex project presented by Aix-Marseille University and its partners (CNRS, Inserm, IRD, CEA, AP-HM, Sciences-Po Aix, Centrale Marseille) was selected in February 2012 by the international jury and confirmed definitively in April 2016.

Its objective is to promote and develop the exceptional potential of the Aix-Marseille site, by endowing it with world-class research and higher education. A*MIDEX is experimenting with new actions and functions as a strategic growth lever for the territory.

The Crous - Regional Center for University and School Works - is an autonomous public institution under the supervision of the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research. There is one Crous in each academy.

The Crous has the mission of managing local services that improve the living conditions of students. For this, it manages grants and financial aids, residences and university restaurants. The institution has been showing its support for the iGEM Aix-Marseille University organization since 3 years.

The Assistance in the development of student initiatives (FSDIE) primarily finances student projects on and off campus.

Projects may aim to develop a voluntary student initiative, particularly in one or more of the following areas: cultural, sports, social, health and disability, education, citizenship, environmental or humanitarian. They may also concern the training of students in the various fields of student representation and community life. Priority to projects that:

  1. Contribute to improving the image and attractiveness of the university
  2. Contribute to the animation of the university campus
  3. Reach the largest number of students

JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments) creates the ultimate solutions for advancing research and science education by making and publishing videos of scientific experiments from the top laboratories around the globe.

JoVE creates scientific videos for two unique resources: JoVE Video Journal and JoVE Science Education Library. The journal is supplying the organization with free subscriptions to maximize productivity, efficiency and successful outcomes.

KEDGE Business School is a benchmark French business school with 4 campuses in France (Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille and Toulon), 2 in China (Shanghai and Suzhou), 1 in Dakar, Senegal, and 3 partner campuses (Avignon, Bastia and Bayonne).

The school is one of our brand new partners. It is showing marketing and financial support to the organization.

The LISM (Laboratoire d'Ingénierie des Systèmes Macromoléculaires) is the successor of the laboratory founded in 1992 by Claude LAZDUNSKI. The original laboratory housed a group of researchers working on the large multi-protein complexes of the bacterial enveloppe - their structure dynamics and engineering for biotechnological ends. This thematic has remained central to the laboratory.

The LISM serves as one of the major partners of the iGEM Aix-Marseille University organization. Director James STURGIS is the main pillar and the founding father of the organization housed by the LISM.

The Polytech network is a group of fifteen public polytechnic engineers accredited by CTI. The network was founded in 2004 with the aim of increasing the visibility of these schools at the international level. Their mission is continuous training, research training, the development of research and technological innovation.

Scop-ti (Société Coopérative Ouvrière Provençale de Thés et Infusions) is a local tea factory created in 2014 and in the south of France.

The company has been showing support since 2018 by providing us with their delicious products for our annual Mediterranean meetup.

Wiloo is a French e-commerce company and specialist in the remote sale of textiles and objects to personalize. The company is one of our brand new partners. We were offered discounts on our personalized sweatshirts, t-shirts, pins and stickers.

Founded in 1918, RAL Diagnostics is a true leader in biological stainings among medical analysis laboratories in France and in French-speaking countries. They provided us with lab equipment and technical monitoring. We also did regular meeting and get advises from RAL Diagnostics.

Since 1985, Grand Luminy works for promoting the Scientific and Technological Park of Luminy. It assures missions around the animation and the promotion of the Park and the creation and the development of the companies on the territory. They provided us with financial and marketing support.

Crédit Mutuel is a French cooperative bank. Its slogan is "La banque à qui parler" (The bank to speak to). It's currently ran by Daniel Baal and has 7.4 million customers. The bank is a member of the International Raiffeisen Union (IRU), which is an association of cooperatives based on the ideas of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen.
