We, as the Xylencer team, learned during our iGEM adventure that
support is essential to conduct research. Because of this, we want to
express our gratitude to all companies and organizations for providing
both material and financial support and to our (anonymous)
crowdfunding donors for their financial support! Without your support,
we would not have been able to realize our project!
Our crowdfunding campaign has been a huge success. We set out an ambitious crowdfunding goal, but to our greatest surprise the crowdfunding camping smashed this goal and we ended up reaching 116%!! It has been heartwarming to see how many people showed that they too cared about the problems caused by Xylella fastidiosa and wanted to help us in our foundational research. We are very greatfull for everyone who donated to the project, because without them we would not have been able to do all of our research. And to great success too, as our efforts were rewarded as we reached second place of all 200+ overgraduate teams, on top of that we were awarded best food and nutrition project!
