Co-built Parts Base
Location: Xi'an Jiaotong University

Cooperative Partners: XJTU-CHINA , YAU-China
Event: We participated in a communicative meeting in Shaanxi. The participating teams are YAU-China、XJTU-China and us. Each team introduces its own projects, including ideas, experimental process and strengths of projects.
It is worth mentioning that in order to overcome the difficulty of the sequence not being acquired in time, we have established a cooperative relationship with these two teams--create a Parts Base.For many new iGEM teams, gene synthesis and building composite parts is a time-consuming and laborious task. In order to complete the experimental task more smoothly in the future, our three teams plan to synthesize common parts in the first five years, such as commonly used transcription factors, promoters, and reporter genes. Later, we plan to synthesize the literature that is more interesting, and the parts that may be instructive for the project.
With the continuous development of iGEM, more and more colleges and universities in Shaanxi will join the iGEM family. The establishment of Parts Base will greatly help them and promote exchanges between teams. At the same time, our Parts Base will also Getting better and better. Currently, there are 32 Parts in our Parts Base.
Sichuan University Tour
Location: Sichuan University

Cooperative Partners: SCU-China,YAU-China
Event: We visited the SCU-China team's laboratory, introduced our projects to each other, and communicated with each other about their problems.
Our harvest: From the exchanges with them, we have harvested many useful suggestions, including the implementation of HP, the preservation of strains in the later stage of the experiment, colorimetric card, dietary suggestions, biosafety issues, and so on. We have also learned about the feasible measures for the sustainable and healthy development and operation of the team.
Their harvest: SCU-China, compared with traditional production methods, highlights its own project advantages; YAU-China, safety aspects of leak prevention, suicide mechanism, 2018 Bombay Arabian sugar.
A trip to Shenzhen

Event: We exchanged projects with the SZPT-CHINA team.
Harvest: The SZPT iGEM team is participating in the iGEM competition for the first time this year. We have helped them in the selection and modeling of suicide switches.
Offline Survey
Location: Shenzhen Bay Park
Date: August 22, 2019
Cooperative Partner: SZPT-CHINA
Event: NWU-China conducted an offline survey with SZPT iGEM. We wanted to investigate the Shenzhen citizens' understanding of phenylketonuria, since we first came to Shenzhen to attend the CCIC meeting and were unfamiliar with the local situation. The SZPT iGEM team recommended us to go to Shenzhen Bay Park for researching and completed the relevant admission procedures.
Our harvest: The results of the survey exceeded our expectations. Almost all of we patiently answered our questions and gave their opinions on GM products and bio-testing. Because these people are different in age and industry, the results of the survey give us a more comprehensive understanding of the public's acceptance of bio-test paper and also enable us to design and develop bio-test paper.
Their harvest: Through communicating with passers-by, they also get the result they want, which is helpful to the improvement of the project.
LZU-China
Cooperative Partner: LZU-CHINA
On the day of September, we established a cooperative relationship with the LZU-CHINA and discussed the matters related to community publicity. After that, we sent the three folds leaflets made by ourselves to each other, and selected suitable communities for publicity. The public response is very good, some people will take the initiative to come to us to understand the promotion content, we have a great cooperation with LZU-CHINA.
NAU-CHINA
Cooperative Partner: NAU-CHINA
This year, our iGEM team has established a partnership with the NAU-CHINA team at Nanjing Agricultural University. The NAU-CHINA team gave us a lot of inspiration in the model, provided us with parameter reference materials, and pointed out our mistakes in the second model, suggesting that we use ordinary chemical reactions to deal with them. We helped them to perform a characterization process of the secretory system by transforming the plasmids in E. coli strains and repeating their experiments according to their protocol. Our feedback also shows negative results.
FAFU-CHINA
Cooperative Partner: FAFU-CHINA
Our iGEM team also worked with FAFU-CHINA, a team at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. We have had a wide range of interactions to make more people aware of our projects. During the exchange, we found that the Human Practices of FAFU-CHINA are doing very well, especially in combination with the problem of solving the geographical situation of Fujian and the HP manual. Since then, we have helped them solve the problem of project modeling.
YAU-China
Cooperative Partner: YAU-China
This year, our iGEM team has also established a good relationship with YAU-China, a team of Yan'an University. In the early stages of the project, we established the relationship and completed the first form of cooperation - the joint construction of the Parts Base. After that, we provided YAU-China with the PSB1C3 plasmid and the PSB1K3 plasmid, which provided many conveniences for their experiments in the part. In addition to, they questioned the application design of our project and made some feasible suggestions to us, and we helped them improve the security mechanism of their projects.
