/tiːm/
two or more people working
together to achieve a common goal.Every small or great achievement throughout this journey, every milestone of this endeavour and every step that brought us closer to our final goal, was a product of teamwork. Some of us knew each other before iGEM, others were complete strangers just some months ago, but we all joined this effort with the same passion! We came together to form the second-ever Athenian iGEM team and, while pursuing a spot in this year’s Giant Jamboree, we received more than we ever asked for… We made new friends and interacted with interesting people, we spent countless hours together, we worked hard, had fun, shared beautiful experiences with one another. We found support in each other and laughed away moments of great stress, we celebrated every bit of success that came our way, we inspired and found inspiration in each other’s passion for Science, we explored our potential, as individuals and young scientists, and surpassed our limits by throwing ourselves into unfamiliar situations… And it’s for all these that it was well worth every minute of our journey!
