  Hello everyone!!! Welcome to my profile! My name is Lingyu Hua, a senior studying in the international department of Wuxi Big Bridge Academy. I am a generalist who likes to specialize in all kinds of fields like cooking, skating, writing and so on. I’m also a crazy lover of cats, avocadoes, Harry Potter… Taking part in iGEM and becoming a member of XiamenCity is the most ambitious decision I have made this year, so I’m really enthusiastic to interact and communicate with our team members about biology. What is fantastic is that I ‘ve found that I have great passion for this subject and I’m willing to devote my college life to biological research.

  Lingyu Hua

  My name is Li Xiange and I am from Xiamen, China. I am currently a senior at Xiamen Shuangshi High school. I am the leader of the team that is mainly responsible for the experiment. We designed, revised and conducted experiments in order to get the optimal result. We worked together and negotiated with each other a lot during that process. After the experiments, we concluded our results and wrote reports to complete the context in wiki. We also made a ppt to Demonstrate our results. I was mainly in charge of assigning work and organizing them. I participated in the writing as well. At school, my favorite subject is mathematics and biology. I want to study mathematics for undergraduate program and explore other fields of science for master’s degree. In my free time, I enjoy skiing and playing skateboard. I like the moments when you finally made some difficult positions after all the failures and practices.

  I am Shen Tianlan. My English name is Chris. I’m a 12th grade student from Xiamen No.1 Middle School Of Fujian. I love all kinds of sports, such as badminton and swimming. Chinese painting is also my favorite. In addition, I’m a humorous person who can always lighten the atmosphere. Therefore, I’m a person who could make a lot of friends easily. I want to study a major that is relevant to biology. During the participation in iGEM, I was in charge of a large part of the experiments in my team.

  My name is Miao Ronghui. Member of the dry team, mainly responsible for the human practice work of the team, including interviews with nephrologists, relevant personnel of sewage treatment plant and sewage treatment experts. At the same time, I was also responsible for public promotion, showing the progress of our experiment, the results of our survey and communicating the importance of sewage treatment to the public.   My name is Congyi Su, you can call me Eric. I am the leader of the team, Xiamen City. Also, I belong to the branch, “dry team” in our project, which is responsible for publicity, composed database, and coordination. I designed our Logo, wrote the Business Plan, and redacted interview reports. Besides, we have an official account on WeChat (an app such as Instagram) and posted updates of our process. In daily life, I am an ordinary senior at First Presbyterian Day School in the U.S., a student that always fights with quizzes, tests, but my interests: guitar, movies…could relieve my anxiety levels very well.

  Hello, my name is Wang Donglin and my English name is Richard. I am a 12th-grade student from the Xiamen city team. I grew up in Xiamen. I study a senior high school in Xiamen. This is my first time to participate in iGEM. In the team I mainly responsible for the human practice.The fields where I am intereted are economic and social psychology, which are also the major I plan to study in the future college life. In my free time, the knowledge in the fields above also contribute a lot to my life experience and widen my horizon.The economics make me learn far more deeply about how the economics in the real world revolve and influence our daily life, and psychology help me to understand the problem in different perspectives especially from different people, which enable me to choose a wiser and more effective solution to its corresponding problem. Certainly, the knowledge of these two field play a key role in my whole experience in the IGEM team.

  I’m the member of dry team, and the connector of both wet and dry team. Because of the specialize knowledge that most of our dry team members cannot figure, I most contribute in following the wet team experiment process and providing the information to dry team. Besides, I’m also paly a role in our business plan, writing the market analyzing.

  My name is Chenyi Wang. I’m 17 years old and I come from Taiwan, China. This is my third year studying in the United States, and now I’m a senior student. In this project, I’m mainly responsible for doing, analysis, and recording of experiments. I’m always immersed in doing experiments and I’m fond of Biology, Chemistry, psychology, and Anatomy. In the future, I’m planning to major in Biology and Chemistry. At my leisure time, I love watching American movies and reading books such as romance and criminal psychology. Sigmund Freud is my favorite psychologist. “The mind is like an iceberg, it floats with one-seventh of its bulk above water.”

  Hello, my name is Zhong Minglou and my English name is Iris. I am a 10th-grade student from the Xiamen city team. I grew up in Beijing. I study in an international school in Beijing. this is my first time to participate in iGEM. I am mainly responsible for the experiment in the team. My favorite subject in school is biology and I want to study biology as my major when I go to university. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and sometimes I will playing skateboard with my friends in school. When I stay at home I will cook for my family. I always like to think out some new recipe which brings a lot of fun to me. That’s all about me.
