Collaboration
The Worldshaper-XSHS team had actively participated in and organized several collaborations with local and international teams. In the collaboration, not only we gained friendship, but also benefited from it.
Collaboration with Zhejiang University (ZJU-China) as a mentorship
Since the plasmid extraction in our initial experiment had suffered several failures, we decided to collaborate with the ZJU-China to extract the plasmid and the specific steps. Finally, we mastered the method and successfully extracted the plasmid.
Meanwhile, we also shared some specific experimental materials with the ZJU-China for their experiment.
Collaboration with ASTWS-China
Due to the limitations of laboratory equipment, we contacted ASTWS-China, who was experimenting at the College of Life Sciences of Zhejiang University, through the professor of Zhejiang University. We borrowed their instruments to measure OD-600 to determine the growth of our strains and to learn how to operate the instruments.
At the same time, ASTWS-China also asked us about some specific methods and ways of working for the cadres.
