<important note>: The initial idea of this project is inspired by our director, Dr. Shiyuan Li*, who had been dedicated on the theme of DNA. With all the research he had done in the past, and the vision for the future employment of DNA, he designed the base of the project and was hoping that the combination of all the traditional encoding method would create something unique which is our project.

Acknowledgement:

We as a team didn’t accomplish all the works alone; we had received a lot of assistance from different professors and instructors who share their knowledge and perspectives about our project and they should be known by the public.
Shiyuan Li:
He is the professor of the team of DNA decoding and encryption, who graduated from Chinese Academy of Science and majoring in microbiology. He mainly studied the heterologous biosynthesis of natural products and CRISPR related applications during his PhD, and has published nearly 20 research papers. He also was in the team that first discovered Cas12a protein which will potently apply for patent. It is a great thing to have him as a professor; unlike many other PhD. professors who appear to be distant to the students, Dr. Li is an amiable friends to us who process voluminous information about biology.

Liang Zhang:
He is a researcher of the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology in Shanghai Jiaotong University. He also is a Ph.D. Supervisor and Shanghai Oriental Scholar. His research field focuses on how the molecular mechanism of fatty acid synthesis pathway and DNA demethylation pathway closely related to tumor development. He has published 30 papers in international journals such as Nat. Chem. Biol., J. Med. Chem, and obtained 2 US technology patents. His lecture on what the DNA is and how they work is extremely interesting and helpful for the public to understand. We appreciate him for spending his afternoon to assist us on advertising our project.

Nancy(Nanxi) Yi:
A smart young lady who is in charge of the laboratory of Shanghai Jiaotong University, was our instructors for three days. Her meticulous character indeed helped us to achieve better results for our reactions. Unlike her appearance, she is tougher than she looks and cares about every detail of how we should behave as future scientists, which assist us to contain an acknowledgement of how true scientist should be.

Yuxin Zhang:
A man who prefers to stay anonymously after all the attributions which he had done for our team. If Dr. Li was the director of the experiment, he sure is the director of the people; he regulates our schedule, and he reminds us of all the due dates. He is the strong guidance that we can lean on when we don’t know where we should go. I would say that without his existence there will be no us and there will be no team. That is his significance to our team. (without any photos that’s the best I could do. PS: this is the result of stay anonymously:)

Zokla (Jacheng) Wu:
I know he looks like he is a cool and chill guy, but he is not. He is the instructor who attempt to teach us how to use pipetting gun with the head, and failed under his strong head force. Because when he says, “ You want to lock them in place,” he used to much force and cause the gun caught in the pipette tip box. What he taught us is that scientists make mistakes too. Yet, he is more than that. He assisted us by accomplished one of the most difficult parts of our project which is combined the DNA sequence with the computer decoding, which is phenomenal. We appreciate the funny contrast that he bought and lit the mood in the lab.

Adeline (Yujiao Yang) and Sophie  (YaJuan Zhou) are from from Chinese Academy of Science and majoring in microbiology. In some days, they help Dr. Li to guide our experiments.

We also feel grateful for Ms. Wanlin Xie, who has guided us with designing and implementing dry group activities throughout project.
