Activities in school:
We had speeches to let more students understand the basic method of genetic researches. At the same time, out club attracted students from all three grades, reading articles and prepare for their chance in the next iGEM.
Activities outside school:
We have a public WeChat account which attract people to subscribe us. Many people in China don’t trust genetic engineering, thinking it will harm human body and they had boycotts against GMOs. However, very few people really know how genetic techniques work. In our account, we introduce more about genetic engineering, clarifying some common misunderstandings of concepts, and let more people to accept such scientific method.
