Team
Our team is composed of students from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan and is a cross-disciplinary team. The team is divided into three departments: Web Lab, Dry Lab, and Human Practices. There are six members in the Web Lab, who come from the Department of Medical Sciences, Interdisciplinary Program of Life Science, Department of Chemical Engineering, and Department of Biomedical Engineering and Environmental Sciences. The members of Dry Lab team comprised of students from the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering and Department of Electrical Engineering. While the only student in charge of human practices comes from the Double Specialty Program of Management and Technology. Our team determined to solved problems with different aspects through our multiple professions. "Make hypothesis boldly but verify it carefully" is our team's motto. We are taking the initiative to come up with new and creative idea to deal with the problem in our daily lives.

Talent is the youngest member in the team and carries a heavy responsibility as a team leader. He keeps an energetic attitude toward everything that can help their team, including participating in bio-experiment, integrating dry lab's concept and device with wet lab, even working with human practices. The driving force which makes him join this iGEM family is the pure curiosity for natural science, and he also wants to meet a group of ambitious people, and complete a cool project. Talent dreamed of becoming a member of iGEM team since high school. Now his dream comes true!

Medical Science
Hi, my name is Liya from Taiwan. I major in medical science and want to become a researcher because I am really interesting in discovering the secret of biology. This year, I feel that I harvested a lot for preparing IGEM competition. I have experienced being a creator and designed an extremely excellent project with my team members. And I hope you can like the concept of our project.

Interdisciplinary Program of Life Science
Helloooooooo everyone! I am Joy, the wet lab leader of NTHU_Taiwan 2019. Wow...I have no idea about the self-introduction,hahaXDD Maybe I can share the reason why I want to join IGEM, which would exactly make me burn midnight oil a lot, at first. The fact is that, I found there is not too much chance for Taiwan students to run the whole project by herself because the senior would set the researching title and rough plan for us. However, I look forward to pick the topic and solve the problem by ourselves, so I join IGEM and grasp the opportunity with great imagination. In short, I like to make friends and explore the life~wish all of us can enjoy the journey and good luck!!

Medical Science
Hi, I'm Jia Meng. I'm a sophomore student who majors in Medical Science, the only foreigner comes from Malaysia. I joined a lab studying tumor microenvironment last year and this has explored a path for me to become a crazy scientist. I'm always so excited and fascinated with synthetic biology, feel like I'm creating a lot of helpful "alien" for the world. Feeling grateful to be a part of iGEM_NTHU Taiwan. Looking forward to seeing you guys in the Jamboree!

Environmental Sciences
Hi, I'm Katrina! A girl with great interest and passion in biology and is looking forward to meeting everyone in iGEM. Being part of the wet lab, she is fascinated by the results, idea, and the system that the whole team came up with. She enjoys the times working with her team members, NTHU_Taiwan! Also, in her lab, she is now conducting experiments on tissue engineering to pursue her goal in biomedical engineering. She is a lover of traveling, star gazing, and playing the ukulele! Wish to see and befriend with you from all around the world in Boston :)

Electrical Engineering
Hi, I'm Wilbur, leader of Dry Lab. It's very exciting to join NTHU_Taiwan team because I can not only gain much knowledge and experience which won't be on the textbooks, but also meet several kinds of friends from different fields. From this project, I learn how to build a website and get familiar with embedded systems...etc, but the most important thing I learn is teamwork and communication which help our team to be better and better. Last, I'm looking forward to everything in the Jamboree in Boston.

Double Speciality Program of
Management and Technology
Hello, I am the HP member of the team. My job is to contact with people who might be interested in our project. Although I am not familiar with biological knowledge, which makes me felt nervous at first, our team members helped me a lot in understanding the methodology. Also, other iGEM teams are willing to help and give advice to one and another. This makes me believe that iGEM community is warm and touching.
