Experiments

Biobrick Design

  • Jia-Meng Pang, Ting-Lun Tien, Tzu-Yu Chiang, Si-Ying Lai, Wen-Hua Chen, and Chia-Tsen Tsai helped design the Biobrick.

Cloning

  • All of the cloning was done by Ting-Lun Tien and Tzu-Yu Chiang.

Lipase Protein Activity

  • Jia-Meng Pang and Si-Ying Lai worked together to test the activity of our lipase.

Fatty Acid Promoter Activity Test

  • Wen-Hua Chen and Chia-Tsen Tsai tested the expression of a series of fatty acid promoter.

Downstream Activity Test

  • Ting-Lun Tien constructed our downstream gene and test it.

Biosafety

  • NCTU_Formosa helped us test the efficiency of filter.

Modelling

  • Tz-Wei Mo built the model of our project.

Software

  • Tz-Wei Mo constructed the LoRa/TTN system.
  • Chi-Wei Chen constructed the Node-Red System.

Hardware

  • Tsung-Hsi Lee constructed the robotic arm.
  • Tz-Wei Mo, Chi-Wei Chen and Tsung-Hsi Lee designed the fertilizer tank.

Project support and advice

  • Prof. Ya-Tang Yang generously provided his laboratory and experimental material to us.
  • Prof. Yu-Chun Lin kindly provided us experimental material and many useful advices for WetLab experiments.
  • Prof. Kai-Ti Lin provided us her laboratory and help us trouble shooting.
  • Prof. Ying-Ling Liu pointed out some defect in our fertilizer-bag design, and generously provide us a specious filter to solve the bio-safety issue.
  • Prof. Huang-You Zhang provided the genome needed for cloning experiments.
  • Prof. Chung-Yu Lan instructed our experiment skill and help with with experiment trouble shooting

Project advisor support

  • PhD. student Ashwin K. J. from Oxford University, a registered iGEM mentor, helped us develop our temperature-sensing mechanism and bio-safety issue.
  • Prof. Nen-Fu Huang gave us some advice about how LoRa could be apply on our system.
  • Prof. Hsien-Sheng Yin provided useful information for measuring soil condition.
  • Prof. Wen-Liang Chen provided advice about how to convert measurable data into soil fertilities level.

Human Practices

  • Chiu-Hua Huang is the person in charge of Human Practice part, responsible for the communication with other teams and experts outside the campus.
  • All of our members have engaged in human practice.
