Xuze Tang

Concentrating:Computer Science

Secondary Goal: Applied Pyhsics

Xuze was brought to this project by his upperclassman. Outside IGEM he is interested in Computer engineering and Music. his personal goal for IGEM is to improve his teamwork experience. in the project, he acted as an active member, taking part in most works.

 

 

 

 

Xinchen Huang

Xinchen is a student at Worcester Academy whose interested in biochemistry and biomedical study. Xinchen was brought into iGEM by his interest as well as his consoltant. Outside of the iGEM team, he is a great leader(proctor), an outstanding athlete, and a qualified musician(ABRSM level 8) at his school as well as its orchestra. In this project, he is in charge of one of the most significant part of the entire wiki- author and editor of the entire laboratory report.

 

 

 

Jiayu Cui

Major: biochemistry

Cui comes from wuxi, study at Jangsu Tianyi high school. Cui likes reading scientific books and watching different kinds of films, he also likes playing badminton. Cui went to IGEm because he has a goal to learn more about knowledge about biology. And he wants to help people diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease to let them be paid attention by other people. He also want to learn some experience about social works.

 

 

 

 

Ruize Qin

Concentrating: Biochemistry

Secondary Goal: Environmental science

Ruize comes from Tianjin, and she is a student at Tianjin Foreign Language School. Ruize was brought into iGEM project by her enthusiasm for biology and relative social practice. In addition, she is willing to help people who are suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Outside of this project, Ruize is found of music and she has been in the chorus of her school for about eight years. She can also play the flute. Moreover, Ruize is a very athletic person who enjoys swimming, playing skateboard, volleyball, badminton and table tennis. In spare time, she usually do some creative handwork, too.

 

 

 

 

Yifei Shan

Concentrating: Biomedical engineering

Secondary Goal: Electrical engineering

Yifei is attending the Convent of the Visitation School in Minnesota, US. From this project, she hopes to learn more about microbiology and improve her laboratory skills. Outside of the team, Yifei is highly active in school. She is the co-captain of the school math team as well as the drive team lead of the FRC team 2177, she is also the founder of the art club in her school. Inside the team, she focused on the lab work and managing the budget of the team. She has a bubbly personality and she wish to bring laughter and happiness to everyone on the team.

 

 

 

 

 

Jiaxuan Liu

Jiaxuan studies at Nanjing Jinling High School Hexi Campus. He was motivated by the interest in biochemistry as well as lab working experience. In the project, he contributed to the process of the experiment and social activities. Outside the project, Liu is a member of school's soccer club and he has learnt playing the piano for ten years. He is the kind of student who can always come up with new ideas and make use of them to help the whole group.

 

 

 

 

Weiyi Guo

Weiyi is from Nanjing Language School Xianlin Campus Sino-American program. Weiyi is 12th grade. Although it's a busy time for her, she tries her best to contribute fot the team. During IGEM, Weiyi focuses on expanding the influence of their team. Weiyi feels IGEM is a meanigful competition, students not only need to organize social acticities to teach individuals more about AD but also need to cocentrate on lab during this time.

 

 

 

 

 

Yuxi Yuan

Yuxi is a student from Nanjing Foreign Language School. She is interested in biomedical sciences. She came to the iGEM team because of her will to look for possibilities to treat Alzheimer disease and help people who suffer from it. What she also learns during this programme is the valuable experiences for social activities held by students themselves. Beside these,she is enthusiastic about digital painting.

 

 

 

 

Shuwen Zhang

Concentrating: Genetic biology

Secondary Goal: Biochemistry

Shuwen is a junior from the Webb Schools of California in Claremont, CA. She hopes that she would gain more experience in the field of genetic biology by participating in this project. In the school, she is part of the paleontology program where she does comparative biology. For this project, she is the captain of wet team and makes sure the team's notebook as well as their procedures are clear enough for future reference. She is a very responsible and dependable part of the team who never fails to.

 

 

 

 

Qingyi Zhu

Concentrating: Chemistry Engineering

Secondary Goal: Biochemistry

Qingyi is a student from Big Bridge Academy, Wuxi, Jiangsu,China.She has great interest in Chemistry or Biochemistry and wants to choose it as her major in the future. She enjoys communicating with her team members and building strong friendships with them.She is very active in the group and has the ability to reconcile conflicts between members. In this project. She learned how to operate experimental instruments rigorously and to process data effectively.

 

 

 

 

 

Ziye Wang

Concentration: art and design

Ziye is from Shaoxing Sino-US program and she is extremely interested in design. She designed movie tickets and invitations in the team and she was also discussed with team members about how to design logo and posters. Moreover,she listened carefully and finished her experiments effectively. At school, Ziye was the vice President of the student union and excellent at piano,drawing,dancing, fencing,etc.

 

 

 

 

MingJian Zhu

Concentrating: Bio Engineering

MingJian is from Brooks School, MA. Since primary school, MingJian has had a 'sweet tooth' for Biology. He was intrigued by Lab works; during the time period, he gained an abundant amount of knowlege which inceased his intrest in Biology even more. Mingjian decided to work on AD because he belives Alzheimer is a major problem that is affecting people from all around the world, yet -according to our survay- most people in China has the wrong interpretation of the disease, attention must be brought upon this topic. Nontheless, MingJian also loved working with the dry team in spreading awareness and visiting elders. Futhermore, MingJian was able to retain the support and trust of the members and teachers, thus, he was elected as the "Head Captain" of Anti-AD. Leading the team of many, MingJian collaborated with the two co-captains, YiFei and ShuWen, to make sure that everyone in the team is satisfied with a variety of work while staying on trak. MingJian is grateful for having such a family-like team, and will continue to work on his Biology intrest.

 

 

 

 

Haonan Luo

 

 

Haonan Luo is a student from Ridley College in Ontario, who possesses a keen interest in biology. Over the course of the project, he gained much deeper understandings to knowledges on genetic biology and neuroscience, as well as protocols for biochemical experiments, as he participated in lab activity. He also mastered the skill of data processing while taking on his responsibility of organizing lab notes and analyze experimental results. These valuable knowledges and skills will bring profound benefits to his future studies in biology.

Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. The research interests of Dr Jianlu Lv are drug discovery and development against metabolic diseases. Shiyuan Li

My name is Shiyuan Li (李诗渊). I graduated from Chinese Academy of Science, majoring in microbiology. During my PhD, I mainly studied the heterologous biosynthesis of natural products and CRISPR related applications; I have published nearly 20 research papers. I love synthetic biology, as well as education and art.
