Haoyu MengBioinformatics I am a senior, majoring in bioinformatics from SJTU, school of life science and technology. With the interest in programming, I choose to join in SJTU-software. It’s my second time to be involved in the iGEM competition, and this year I choose to be our team’s leader, with the hope that my experience can help our team and other members. My role in the software team is to help the programmers to understand the program in a Integrated way. I think I have learned a lot from this experience, getting a lot of fun. The combination of biology and computer science is so fascinating that I want to be a member of the SJTU-Software team. Ruitian GaoBioinformatics Hello, my name is Olivia. I'm a senior student in SJTU, majoring in bioinformatics and minoring in Computer Science. In my spare time, I have a passion for sport, especially long-distance running, which can help me keep fit and relax myself. I also like Rubik's cube very much and enjoy exploring many different kinds of Rubik's cube, such as Rubik's Revenge, Rubik's Professor, Rubik cube mirror and so on. As an easy-going person, I like to communicate with others and make new friends, which can bring me more inspiration and broaden my horizon. Wangjie ZhengBioinformatics Hi, I’m Zheng Wangjie, a junior in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Due to my interest in both computer science and biology, I choose bioinformatics as my major and computer science as my second major. In this competition, I am charged in database building and back-end programming. I begun learning coding since I was in grade six and I have always been passionate on mathematics and coding. In my spare time, I like playing the guitar and singing songs, maybe sometimes I even write some. Soccer is also my hobby. Shaopu RuiSoftware Engineering Hello, I'm Rui Shaopu, a junior student from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. My major is software engineering. The reason for my participation in this competition is that I would like to practice myself in a different team and apply what I learnt in class to a real project. I prefer to listening to music in my spare time, which often makes me relaxed. Sometimes I go out to do some exercises too. Compared to monotonous learning, I would rather learn in other ways. iGEM is one of them, which really gives me much funny and meaningful experences.
