We had designed and constructed a real machine to absorb formaldehyde indoor to as an aid to the pathway we created, eliminating formaldehyde. We made it by hand and some parts we bought online, like an air pump and some water pipe. But we did not try whether it could work or not, because we think that stepping into a room full of formaldehyde without proper protection would not be a good idea. However, by re-considering this machine, we still find some problems that needs to be improved, like how to increase the concentration of formaldehyde, how to optimize the condition for the enzymes work, at which the reactions occur and end product xylulose are produced.
To avoid repetition, the functions and some other details are stated in our project design.
