Our Sponsors

Without the generous support of our university, different foundations and partners from the industrial sector, our project would not have been feasible. We want to thank all our sponsors for their generous financial support and helpful guidance. Their sponsorship allowed us to make the most out of the iGEM competition and attend the Giant Jamboree. We are honored to name these institutions and companies our sponsors.

Platinum Sponsors

Platinum Sponsors have supported us financially/materially with an overall value of over 5000€.

SnapGene Viewer is revolutionary software that allows molecular biologists to create, browse, and share richly annotated DNA sequence files up to 1 Gbp in length. With SnapGene, annotating features in a DNA sequence is easy. SnapGene kindly provided us with Licenses to use their software for the course of the iGEM competition which helped us a lot with our plasmid design.

Gold Sponsors

Gold Sponsors have supported us financially/materially with an overall value of 1000€ or more.

We had the chance to use their NanoPhotometer® NP80 for our project, which we greatly enjoyed.

QIAGEN serves more than 500,000 customers around the globe, all seeking insights from the building blocks of life – DNA, RNA and proteins. They deliver Sample to Insight solutions for molecular testing, propelling QIAGEN customers from start to finish to unlock new insights. Qiagen sponsored us by providing four awesome kits that we constantly used over the last months.

Integrated DNA Technologies Inc. is the world's largest supplier of custom nucleic acids, serving the areas of academic research, biotechnology, clinical diagnostics, and pharmaceutical development. Founded in 1980, from the headquarters in San Jose they deliver nucleic acids around the globe. Like every iGEM Team, we had the chance to have up to 20kb of DNA synthesized free of charge, which we happily accepted. THe results were shipped on time and perfectly functional.

With a portfolio of more than 4,000 products covering the fields of genomics, protein analysis and expression, cellular analysis, drug discovery and genetic identity, Promega is a global leader in providing innovative solutions and technical support to life scientists in academic, industrial and government settings. Promega products are used by life scientists who are asking fundamental questions about biological processes as well as by scientists who are applying scientific knowledge to diagnose and treat diseases, discover new therapeutics, and use genetics and DNA testing for human identification. We did all our DNA purification with the midiprep/miniprep systems they gave us and it worked like a charm.

LTF Labortechnik has been a reliable partner for laboratory equipment in the field of molecular technology since 1996. Our focus is on the fields of PCR, gel documentation and liquid handling. As an authorized dealer for UV lamps and UV replacement tubes, we greatly value quality and advice. They entrusted us with a gel imaging device, which was fun to set up and even more fun to use.

BioComp is a research focus of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate that has existed since 2014. In BioComp, members of the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology as well as members of the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics work together in highly networked, interdisciplinary projects. Since 2017, the focus of biological research has been on the analysis of dynamic membrane processes in biological systems.

The Ministry for the Environment, Energy, Food and Forests of the Rhineland Palatinate is responsible for protecting people and their natural resources. Clean air, clean water, a good climate, fertile soils, the diversity of animal and plant species and habitats - these natural treasures must also be preserved for future generations. Sustainable development is therefore a guiding principle of Rhineland-Palatinate's state policy. The Ministry for the Environment, Energy, Food and Forestry is developing concrete initiatives and assistance in this direction.
