CONSULTATION
Consultations with Professors
We had consultations with six professors. Based on the information we get from professor Chengshu Wang, we decided to study more about hisG domain of Cns3 instead of NK. After talking with Professor Ke Liu, we knew that Saccharomyces cerevisiae AH109 contains Ura gene which stopped us from screening yeast in SD-Ura plate and made yeast congregated. So, we changed to use S.cerevisiae YM4271 as our chassis to construct Met/Gal4 delay expression system. Prof. Yang Cao helped us with modeling and gave us support for the Linux environment and the software package, GROMACS, running on it. Professor Jing Huang commended that our working has not only a potential market but also advantages in industrial production, which is meaningful. Professor Lili Wang suggested that we conduct market research to determine product positioning. Professor Zhimin Yang helped us to avoid possible legal disputes during the project. (view more)
The Interview of Purify
By interviewing Mr. Qiling Xie who comes from Purify, a professional compounds-purifying (Cordycepin is one of their main target products) company in Chengdu, we have a much deeper understanding of the status of production and sales of Cordycepin especially about the purification of Cordycepin and we also get that the yield is the golden rule in the industry. Without the worries about the technical problems in the purification of Cordycepin, we will do more work about increasing the yield. This will help us build a much more industry-friendly project.
