Ruochen Liu
Hi, my name is Ruochen Liu, or English name Alexei. I am the team captain of 2019 RDFZ-China. I will do my best to lead, and help with our project, and study synthetic biology together. I crave my teammates learn and get along well, strive together, and enjoy the process of competition!
Zhiquan Jiang
I am Michael Jiang from RDFZ. I always see myself as a keen learner of all sorts of things. To me, there is nothing more exciting than making improvements in the field you are interest in. With my passion of learning, I started studying at a lab in Peking University since last year. My lab experience really gave me a lot of knowledge and ideas about synthetic biology. Beside from that, I am also interested in philosophy, literature and most importantly, music. As a huge rock and roll fan, I picked up my first guitar when I’m twelve and are still learning until now.
Mingyi Wan
My name is Peggy Mingyi Wan. I am about to be a S2 student of ICC RDFZ China, in September, 2019. Due to the interest and love to Bio, I joined our school’s IGEM team. I am mainly working for the human practice, art and lab parts, with my full passion.
Zhuolang Li
Hey guys! I am Zhuolang Li, you can call me Livi. I am a11 grade student from International curriculum center of the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China. The reason for me to attend in 2019 iGem competition is attributed to my interest in microbiology and synthesis of biology. I am in charge of the financial management of the team, as well as a member of experiment part of the project. I will try my best in every process of my work, and I hope that I can learn more biology technologies through the project. Finally, hope all of us can enjoy the competition!
Yilin Shen
I am Yilin Shen, from the RDFZ ICC S2C9. In the middle school, I joined the club called “nature wing” and started watching birds. Because of my interest in birds, I am also curious about the subject of biology. When I was in high school, I learned more about biology and read many extracurricular books. I also won medals in various biology competitions.
Xinxin Li
My name is Xinxin Li, a senior 2 student in RDFZ from the September of 2019. Actually, I had not developed my interest in biology until the second half of the first semester of my senior 1 study, even after I joined iGEM team. My affection about this subject is mainly attributed to all the things that I have done for the team, stimulating me to learn more about this amazing area. iGEM brings me countless precious experiences, and I am pretty sure that it will be one of the most shining parts in my whole senior high journey.
Mingyang Li
Hi, I'm Mingyang Li from RDFZ-China, and you can call me Ingrid as well. I am a grade 11 student, a person who is fascinated by Biology. This is my first year attending iGEM competition, which means most of the time I will be a learner, accumulating experiences through the whole process. Believe that in future work, I will continue to make persistent efforts to strive for new knowledge. It is awesome to cooperate with these conscientious team members. Wishing this will become one of the best experience in my high school life.
Kuankuan Hu

Zeyuan Li
Hi everyone, I’m Zeyuan Li from RDFZ-ICC. I’m a grade 12 student who likes biology. I’m also found of biomedical engineering, and my dream is to be a surgeon in the future, in order to help patients as well as let them return to their ordinary life. Playing table tennis is my hobby and I’ve played it for more than 10 years; it helps me relax from the exhaust study life on campus. This is my first year and last year attending iGEM as a high school student. I’m mainly in charge of the time management and human practice of our team. I really enjoy the collaboration between our teammates.
Hang Xu
I’m William Xu, an RDFZ student who is full of hope for life and passionate about the world. I have a wide range of hobbies, including watching US TV series, listening to electronic music and bird watching, thus I aspire to learn things from all aspects, especially Biology, a subject that perfectly unites humans and the environment. In iGEM, I hope to learn more and develop more skills while making as much contribution as possible to the group.
Haoran Xin
Hey guys, it’s Haoran Xin here from RDFZ international curriculum center, you can also call me Kitty. I join RDFZ team as a learner, a challenger, and most importantly, an enthusiastic participant. I’m super fond of biology, and just stepped in the gates of synthetic biology. Joining iGEM and working on it gives me a brand-new perspective of the subject and its relationship to the society, which holds great significance while studying any subject including biology for sure. This year, I’ll be working with a group of super great people, and I’ll do my best to contribute to our team.
Jinyun Wang
Jinyun Wang (Charlotte) is a rising senior at RDFZ. She is fascinated by biology and technology (particularly its real-life applications) and genuinely passionate about service and giving back to the local community. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in which she can combine these two interests. Outside of school, Charlotte is very involved in Paws and Rights, an animal protection club that she founded at her school. She is excited about digging into synthetic biology for the very first time and working with other members.
Jingwen Li
Hi everyone! I’m Lidia from S3C4. I enjoy books and movies, as well as playing with my cats, and I also play the piano. I’m looking forward to exploring in the field of synthetic biology. It’s been a pleasure cooperating with my teammates and I hope that this year we can achieve our goals together!
Yiqiao Wang
Hi, this is Yiqiao Wang. I am a student from RDFZ. I am not very talkative, and I am a person who enjoys challenging herself always. It’s so glad for me to be a member of our iGEM team, as I begin my high school life. I am a fan of biology and chemistry, because people, at least me, can never exactly know what amazing things happen in those small creatures. That’s also why I choose to become an iGEMer. I’m sure I will learn a lot from this competition and have a nice experience.
Minjia Pan
I am Minjia Pan, a grade 11 student of The High School Affiliated to the Renmin University of China and a member of RDFZ-China. This is the first time I participant in IGEM and learns synthetic biology. Therefore, this is a good chance to develop interests and accumulate variable knowledge in biology. IGEM is a competition that not only limited in biology but also various skills like math modeling and poster designing, thus everyone can take part in it. This is the most attractive part for me to joy IGEM. The experience of taking part in it will be a meaningful and unforgettable experience. Wish I will keep my interest in synthetic biology and explore the secret of life.

This is my first time to participate in iGEM this year, and as a biological rookie I have learned a lot from the team. Liangpu Liu
Hi, I'm Liangpu Liu. You can call me Donny, I'm a S2 student from High School affiliated Renmin University ICC department. This is my first time in iGEM this year and I learn a lot from my team members. I'm interested in biology, especially insect, collecting specimen of insect is my hobby during spear time. I'm also participate as a programmer in our team. As the programmer of this wiki, I hope you like it.
Menghan Wang
I am Menghan Wang from ICC S3C6, and I am a participant during the experiment process. I like to do some reading (both literature and science) in my free time. The reason why I joined the iGem team is that I would like to know more knowledge of wet labs, so that I can have better understanding of the subject of biology
Sizhuo Wang
Hey guys, I’m Sizhuo Wang, an eleventh grader from RDFZ. You might find my name a bit difficult for the tongue, but I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it soon enough, with some practice. I am generally obsessed with certain arthropods and programming (which are two things that don’t seem to stick to each other at all), but recently I found genetic engineering equally charming (yay, something else that doesn’t seem to stick to the other two). This is my first time participating in iGem, as well as a first time taking part in a year-long team project that works with microbes. Thankfully, my teammates are all awesome people, so I have already learned much from them, and probably will learn even more in the future. You will see me on my laptop a lot this year as I’m also working with one of our team leaders to construct our wiki webpage apart from my normal duties as a team member. Like the rest of my team, I am totally looking forward to seeing our project unfold while making its way to success, and seeing the rest of you bio-people at the Jamboree!
