Our Team

We are Navarra BG team! The team comes from Navarra's Government educative programme called Planet STEM, managed by Pamplona's Planetarium and fostered by NICDO, the Navarrese Governmental organisation for innovation and the promotion of Industry, Culture, Sport and Leisure, whose objective is to encourage youngsters to choose and study scientific and technological degrees. We´ve been also supported by scientifics of CSIC.

Arantza Arrizurieta

Hello, my name is Arantza and I'm 16 years old. I practice archery, it's my favorite sport! I also do skateboarding, I love going to the skatepark with my friends. I'm part of a choir and of my high school's flutes orchestra. I love languages and spending time with my family. I try to practice activities that involve being in contact with nature. I'm excited to be able of being part of this project because since I was young I have always loved sciences. I consider myself a creative, persistent, and optimistic person.

Aitor Perez

Hi! I'm Aitor Perez, a 16 years old boy who has just finished the compulsory education. This summer, through this amazing project, I expect to discover the branch of science that I feel most passionate about. I love exercising, I practice judo and artistic gymnastics. I like to spend my free time with my friends and i think watching Game of thrones should be obligatory!

David Ferrer

Hi everybody! My name is David Ferrer, I'm 18 years old and I have finished college. I have always loved mounting, dismounting and opening machines to see how they worked. That's why I'm starting my degree in mechanical engineering with so much joy. I love sports in general even though I haven't practiced any in particular. I love watching series and films and listening to music. My lifestyle is based upon this saying: "Ningún mar en calma hizo experto al marinero”.

Maite Losarcos

Hello! My name is Maite Losarcos and I'm 17 years old (soon to be 18). I have just finished the health science high school and in September I will start studying medicine, which is what I've wanted to do since I was a little girl. In fact, I have always loved the science subjects like biology or chemistry. Besides, I love reading and listening to music like IZAL which is my favourite band. In addition, I love sports and I have been playing paddle tennis since I was 10 or 11. My favourite quote is "audentes fortuna iuvat" and my favourite animal is the lion.

What's up? My name is Amaia García and I'm 16 years old. I'm so glad to be able to participate in this project because my father is a biologist and since I was a little girl I have loved science. I love sports too like volleyball, baseball and karate,which I have been practising since I was 6 years old. My favourite animal is the wolf and I love traveling. I also like tattoos and the japanese language. If I had to choose a quote it would be "kouun na" that means lucky. It will be a pleasure to meet you all in Boston.

Saioa Ganuza

Hello! I'm Saioa! I'm studying health science high school and I would like to study mathematics because since I was really young my father taught me fractions, multiplications… and I have always liked them so much. During my free time I like spending time with my friends, reading and watching movies. My favourite movie is "El becario" because the main character is a strong and feminist woman. The music is my passion, I play the piano and the saxophone and I usually listen to vasc music.

Julen Casulleras

Hiya! I love biology and every living being (well, except from lampreys, they scare me a bit) Apart from science, my passion is music, whenever I have the time i like to play the transverse flute and listen to my favourite songs. I also like reading, my favorite saga is Harry Potter (In fact, I'm often told that I look like him, but he's not my favourite character so I don't like that) If i could have a power I would talk to animals.

Julen Herrero

Hey! I'm Julen and I'm 17 years old. I love science and particularly biology and astronomy, I enjoy learning a lot and I always want to know more. I try not to judge others upon the first impression and I'm really warm with the people I love. Even though I'm an introverted person, I always try to help others! In my free time what I enjoy the most is listening to music, my favourite singers are SIA and ADELE, I also love playing the piano and singing. My favourite serie is Steven Universe and my favourite film trilogy is "The lord of the rings"
