Collaborations
Meeting with UPNavarra_Spain 07/25/19
The 25th of July we met the Public University of Navarre team and we talked about our thoughts on the iGEM contest. They shared their project with us, which was about biosensors that detected heavy metals in the water. We gave each other advices aiming to help in the development of our respective projects. After that, we listened to a talk given by Miren Karmele Gomez, our Secondary PI, who works at Pamplona’s Planetarium and shared with us interesting facts about our Galaxy, the Milky Way.
At the end of the meeting, each team had the privilege of choosing a bush from the “Galaxy Garden” that is located at the entrance of the planetarium. Our team sponsored a Hibiscus syriacus that represents nebulas in the garden and the Public University team sponsored a Salix integra Hakuro Nishiki that represents gas and interstellar dust.
Meeting with the team from Munich 08/09/2019
In August we get in touch with the team from Munich because one of our team members was going to go to Munich on holidays and she wanted to seize the moment to meet the team from there. When they met, they explained her their project and showed her the poster. She also explained what was our project about and showed her where they worked.
All our team made a video in the planetarium of Pamplona for them introducing ourselves, so she showed them the video and they recorded another video for us!
Meeting with the MADRID_UCM_HS 08/27/2019
In August we went to Madrid and we met the other Spanish High School Team from Aranjuez.
We talked about our projects and we shared our experiences and knowledge. Their project is called STAIN and they have created natural inks that help the environment. We were able to exchange ideas of our respective projects and we were amazed to find such an interesting project.
In addition to the meetings we have had with iGEM teams; we have also made another kind of collaborations.
With iGEM TIES Study of Center for Research and Interdisciplinary (Paris), we answer some forms that they sent us by email, in order to collaborate with their study about iGEM’s Teams.
Thank you for taking part in our scientific endeavour!
