Composite parts

Our part number BBa_K3045002 was constructed using two existing Parts from the Registry of Standard Biological Parts [BBa_K1467101 (35S promoter) and BBa_K1484215 (nopaline synthase terminator)] and a new Part (BBa_K3045001) that contains a DNA coding region consisting GBSS (granule-bound starch synthase)--factor Xa protease cleavage site--GFP.

The construction was made using the modular cloning system GoldenBraid. The strategy that we have followed is combining two DNA coding region (GBSS and factor Xa protease cleavage site fused to GFP) to generate the Part BBa_K3045001. The next step was assembled together three Parts, BBa_K1467101 + BBa_K3045001 + BBa_K1484215 to build the final plasmid BBa_K3045002. The Part BBa_K3045002 could be combined with a Part that contains a transcriptional unit for kanamycin resistance gene in a binary destiny vector and we will have a plasmid ready to transform plants with Agrobacterium tumefaciens.
