The project inspiration and description were submitted on the 28th of June according to the deadline and are available on our Project page.

Characterization/Contribution
BBa_K861173 was characterized by our team by performing RFP measurements. Details can be seen on Characterization page.

Silver

Validated part
We validated that our part works by measuring the amount of gas produced and by performing pop test. Also we performed Survival test comparing the growth of WT and transformed cells. More details can be seen on the Results page.

Collaboration
This year was full of fruitful collaborations with other iGEM teams since we were able not only to share our knowledge and laboratory experience with each other but also to actively participate in different kinds of social media challenges and Skype&live meetings. Special thanks to the Moscow team for giving us a chance to make contributions on collection of data needed for their project. For more information please visit the Collaborations page.

Human Practices
We have completed the extensive work arising awareness of Synthetic biology by organizing the events involving students from high schools and freshmen from our university. We were also working on public engagement by providing interviews to the national newspaper and radio. More details can be seen on the Human Practices page.

Gold

Human Integrated Practices
In addition to educational events for schools and promotion on media, we have also integrated our project into real life by participating in wide-scale events like the international renewable energy summit, international KazEnergy forum 2019. We discussed our project with leading oil and petrochemical companies, government representatives and scientists. For more details see the Human Integrated practices page.

Modeling
Our team has constructed a mathematical model of fluorescence and a 3D protein model of Hydrogenase A. The model of fluorescence allowed our team to deepen our understanding of the CQDs and create new solutions for the advancement of its synthesis. GMQE score for the protein model came out quite good and with the 98% of sequence cover we can determine the most efficient hydrogenase for the better production. For more details see the Modeling page.
