Model

With the development of synthetic biology, mathematical models are playing an increasingly important role. In terms of experimental design, the mathematical models help the lab researchers to better explain experimental results. By simulating the experiments under various conditions it can provide guidance for experimental design to save a lot of materials and time. In terms of project design, by simulating the implementation process, it can give the optimal strategy to maximize the benefits.

Peptide Expression Stochastic model

The peptides expression stochastic model was established to optimize the gene circuit design. After a simulation of producing antimalarial peptides with different combinations of promoters and RBS, an optimal combination, which can maximize the producing, was detected, thus providing guidance for our experiment.

Cellular Automaton Model

The cellular automaton model was established to explore the final implementation effect , and suggest the optimal strategy for mosquito release in the maturity of the project. The model can be extended to simulate a variety of vector-borne diseases due to its consideration of aggregation and periodicity of insect activity. Based on the sensitivity analysis, a direction was given to further optimize the project design and the experimental focus.
