Experiments

Experimentation was an integral part of developing Algulin. We tested protein expression in E. coli and in microalgae. This was done to have a comparison for protein production between the organisms using the same constructs in both. To make an adequate product our team needed to select a viable chassis. In the selection process for an adequate chassis, we tested C. merolae, C. reinhardtii, and A. platensis in a variety of experiments to test cell integrity.
