Trip to BCCG (Beaconhouse College Campus Gulberg)
We had a wonderful time giving a presentation about @igem_hq and our project at Beaconhouse College Campus Gulberg (BCCG). We talked about what iGEM is, the importance it holds for the global science community - as well as how students can participate. We then moved on to discuss our project and some fundamental ideas of synthetic biology. We are pleased with the engagement of students and hope that they move forth with making their own team. It is our team’s central philosophy to promote synbio in the region - and with support more teams from Pakistan will definitely participate.
Meeting with Hassnain Bokhari
We were honored to host Mr. Muhammad Hassnain Qasim Bukhari, the IGEM ambassador for Asia at our SynBio workshop held at our college campus LACAS Alevel Johar Town. Mr. Hassnain briefed all the students taking part in our SynBio workshop on basics and the rules of procedure regarding IGEM and also guided us about how to achieve our targets and which agenda to follow.
