Team Member (Key Roles)
  • Kento Tamukai (Team Leader, Wiki Design)
    He managed the team, also designed wiki.
  • Masaaki Shimazoe (Project Leader, Wet Lab)
    He is responsible for all “science” and experiment.
  • Kako Nakazato (Vice team leader, Accounting, Illustrator)
    She designed the team banner, poster and all figures, also managed Team Leader.
  • Momono Yamauchi (Wet Lab, Human Practice)
    She contributed to Human Practices, also did protein purification perfectly!
  • Yuki Kobayashi (Wiki Design & Creator, Hardware)
    He designed and created Wiki, also contributed to Hardware. All of cool designs in the wiki are realized by him!
  • Alexander Liu (Wet Lab, Writer)
    He did a lot of plasmid construction, also wrote a lot on Wiki.
  • Masahiro Sakono (Wet Lab)
    He did plasmid design and construction.
  • Taiki Sakaguchi (Wet Lab, Hardware)
    He did plasmid construction, also created hardware prototypes.
  • Reo Nishimura (Wet Lab)
    He gave the first proposal of the project, also did plasmid construction and a lot of assays.
  • Naoto Kishida (Wet Team Member)
    He did Demonstration experiment, also did presentation about modeling.
  • Yutaro Ikeda (Dry Team Member)
    He designed mathematical models and hardware with 3D printer.
  • Yusuke Shiba (Wet Lab, Human Practice Leader)
    He completed Human Practice. He did a lot of plasmid construction and protein experiments.

Team Instructor Support
  • Dr. Knut Woltjen (Center of iPS Cell Research and Application, and Hakubi Center for Advanced Research, Kyoto University) helped us all through our project and gave us professional advice on cloning. He also checked all the words written in the wiki and helped us prepare for presentation.
  • Dr. Makoto Kitabatake (Institute for Frontier Life and Medical Sciences, Kyoto University) helped us all through our project, taught the way of management of a team, and gave us professional advice as well as training us on the experiment. In addition, he helped collect and analysis experiment data and reform our wiki writing. He also gave us safety education and ethics education.

  • Mr. Rengwei. Arthur. Liu helped our project appeal and hardware design.

  • Dr. Tomoo Shimada (Department of Science, Kyoto University) kindly helped us with the usage of his laboratory, and gave us valuable advice as well as training. Without his great support, we could not have make any results.
  • Dr. Dan Ohtan Wang (Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences, iCeMS, Kyoto University) provided us with a laboratory and some lab equipments.
  • Dr. Yoshie Fujiwara (Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences, iCeMS, Kyoto University) taught us usage of experiment equipment and gave us professional advice on cloning.
  • Prof. Teiji Sota (Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University) helped us by submitting application for safe guideline for Recombinant DNA Experiment to Kyoto university and letting us borrow -80°C freezer.
  • Ms. Yukiko Nakahara (Kyoto university, ENTREPRENEUR PLATFORM)provided us with a KUEP laboratory.
  • Mr. Yoshimasa Matsumoto (Sanyo Chemical Industries, Ltd) cooperated with us in the microfiber aggregation experiment.
