PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) (abbreviated as KAI or PT KAI) is an Indonesian State-Owned Enterprise that operates railroad services. PT KAI's services include passenger and goods transportation. With a vision of being the best railroad service provider that focuses on customer service and meets the expectations of stakeholders.

KAI’s mission is to carry out the railroad business and its supporting business through business practices and the best organizational models to provide high added value to stakeholders and environmental sustainability based on four main pillars: Safety, Punctuality, Service and Convenience.

Through the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Competition, we are committed to supporting the achievements of the nation's children represented by a team from the Bandung Institute of Technology in the international arena, we believe that through this activity our young people will make a positive and real contribution to the wider community in Indonesia.

This is certainly in line with the objectives of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) which is always trying to serve Indonesian’s communities better, mainly through improving services for our passengers, last year we managed to transport more than 420 million passengers and will continue to grow in line with the addition and rejuvenation of the fleet, service improvements and innovations that we will continue to make progress.

Through this activity we also hope to introduce the KAI Access application, the official train ticket booking application with the advantages of: E-Boarding Pass (checking in without having to print boarding passes), cancellation and schedule changes Online without having to come to the station and booking tickets Local Train.

Through this support, we hope that the ITB team can provide the best performance for Indonesia and implement its work in the form of community service directly.

Layanan PT KAI meliputi angkutan penumpang dan barang. Dengan visi Menjadi penyedia jasa perkeretaapian terbaik yang fokus pada pelayanan pelanggan dan memenuhi harapan stakeholders.

Serta Misi Menyelenggarakan bisnis perkeretaapian dan bisnis usaha penunjangnya melalui praktik bisnis dan model organisasi terbaik untuk memberikan nilai tambah yang tinggi bagi stakeholders dan kelestarian lingkungan berdasarkan empat pilar utama: Keselamatan, Ketepatan Waktu, Pelayanan, dan Kenyamanan.

Melalui event International Genetically Engineered Machine (IGEM) Competition, kami berkomitmen untuk mendukung prestasi anak bangsa yang diwakili oleh tim dari Institut Teknologi Bandung di kancah Internasional, kami meyakini melelui kegiatan ini anak-anak muda kita akan memberikan kontribusi yang positif dan nyata bagi masyarakat luas di Indonesia.

Hal tersebut tentunya sejalan dengan tujuan PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) yang senantiasa berusaha meningkatkan pelayanan terhadap para penumpangnya, tahun lalu kami berhasil mengangkut lebih dari 420 juta penumpang dan terus akan tumbuh seiring dengan penambahan dan peremajaan armada, perbaikan pelayanan dan inovasi-inovasi yang terus akan kami tingkatkan.

Melalui kegiatan ini kami juga berharap dapat memperkenalkan Aplikasi KAI Access yang merupakan Aplikasi resmi pemesanan tiket Kereta Api dengan keunggulan yakni : E-Boarding Pass (check in tanpa harus mencetak boarding pass), pembatalan dan perubahan jadwal Online tanpa harus dating ke Stasiun dan Pemesanan tiket KA Lokal.

Melalui dukungan ini kami berharap tim ITB dapat memberikan prestasi terbaik bagi Indonesia dan mengimplementasikan karyanya dalam bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat secara langsung. Terima kasih.
