Goals
- To supplement more considerations for shrimp farmers's decision making, there is a need to develop biosensors that can detect specific pathogens of shrimp.
- These biosensors can warn shrimp farmers about pathogen concentrations in real time and not by indirect measurements such as pH or DO levels.
- Pathogens concentration information can alert shrimp farmers to be more ready and can act responsively to changes.
- This can prevent the farmers from trying to minimize the damage or losses after it is too late.
