In the list of Parts assigned to our team, we decided to characterize two fluorescent proteins : sfGFP (BBa-I746916) and mCherry RFP (BBa-J18932).
Our goal was to observe the evolution of the intensity of fluorescence emitted by these proteins, after induction by IPTG (Isopropyl -D-1-thiogalactopyranoside), varying two parameters: temperature and pH.

We can say that sfGFP and mCherry are both stable over range of moderate temperatures. At temperatures of higher than 65°C, sfGFP may be more stable than mCherry, because we observed a sharper decrease in fluorescence in mCherry at these temperatures.
There is no variation in the intensity of fluorescence over a wide range of acidic, neutral or alkaline pH environments for either GFP as for mCherry.
