Future
Vertical development
we are hoping to make our project more integrated in the future. We think there are several directions for us to improve our projects.
- Improving the BC production in E.coli in yield, crystallographic form, quality and so on.
- Realizing the actual control of BC secretion via light system. We hope to realize it in the future by replacing the promoter of CesA and CesB by relative light promoter.
- Expanding our functional banks. On the one hand, we are increasing the species of AMP and AOP, on the other hand, we want to add new functional proteins into this bank to realize a real platform by our converter.
- Manufacturing of an available hardware. Our hardware remains in physical model, although our design has been quite integrated and careful, we hope to realize it in the future and applied in real relic restoration in the future. But as the specificity of cultural relics, there will be a long way to go.
Horizontal expansion
- Restoration should not be constrained in cultural relics, those old clothes, objects with precious memory should also be restored. We hope to decrease the cost of our design in the future to get a wider application.
- Actually, the functionalization of Bacteria Cellulose has a great potential in bio-material. For example, the BC with the capacity of anti-microbial can be used to make bandages against the infection of the wound.
