Institute of Biological Science

The Institute of Biosciences is the unit responsible for the Biological Sciences Course and develops teaching, research and community outreach activities, consisting of five departments. It also has a Library, Center for Human Genome Studies, Laboratory of Electron Microscopy, Laboratory of Bees, Herbarium, Phytoterium and a Forest Reserve.

Institute of Biomedical Sciences

The Institute of Biomedical Sciences consists of seven Departments distributed in five buildings in the University City Armando de Salles Oliveira located in the Butantã neighborhood, West Zone of the city of São Paulo (SP) and an Advanced Teaching, Research and Extension Center located in Monte Negro, Rondonia. ICB / USP carries out intense teaching activities for its own students and students from other USP Institutes and Colleges. She is responsible for seven Postgraduate Programs that train Masters and Doctors in the knowledge areas of their Departments, in addition to participating in multidisciplinary interunit Programs.
