We have successfully made pBBR1MCS-2/otsA and verified the sequence through Sanger Sequencing at Idaho State University! Our next steps will be to insert the plasmid into a strain of rhizobia. Currently, we are attempting to electroporate into R. leguminosarum. We expect delivery of R. etli on November 19, 2019.

Project Goals:

Complete

  • Make Overexpression Plasmid (pBBR1MCS-2/otsA)
  • Preliminary Testing on Commercially Available Inoculants
  • Build Suitable Greenhouse for our Research
  • Develop effective and safe assay for bean inoculation
