Hengru Li
A High school student currently enrolling in Shanghai United international High school (Gubei campus) and will be initiating his IB diploma from next semester including HL Physics. He is particularly interested in mechanical/electrical engineering. Furthermore, he shows participation in both dry and wet groups. Throughout the past few days working with the team, he has demonstrated a significant amount of interest in the project and gained experiences of team collaboration.
Yijia Chen
She is a high school student from High School Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University. As a student who has been studying economics and business management courses for a long time, she is also interested in sudoku. Her work involving dry lab mainly included the online expert interview, fundraising and science popularization activity design, helping the team better obtain social recognition. By participating in iGEM competition, She hopes that she can expand her knowledge in various fields, improve her organization skills, and make effective use of her professional knowledge.
Yuqing Cao
She is a rising junior from Shanghai International School Wanyuan campus, who is interested in chemistry and biology. Participating in both wet and dry groups, she is being responsible for the experiment and activity to popularize scientific knowledge, and she is willing to contribute all her efforts to the team. She likes her teammates and cooporates with them to become a better team. She always wants to improve herself through this competition. Though this is the first time for her to do a biology experiment, she is willing to try her best to contribute to the team in all aspects.
Shenshen Qin
She is a high school student from Mount Alvernia High School in Boston. Interested in Biology and Chemistry, she has been studying for these two courses in school for two years. This is her first time to participate in iGEM, but she has quickly familiarised with other team members and put all the efforts into the team. Her work involving dry groups included online expert interview, activity to popularize scientific knowledge and fundraising. It is her honor to be a member of the team.
Lihong Zheng
Leo is a high school senior student from Shanghai Shixi High School and would be starting his IB diploma from next semester. He is keen on biology and geography, and also gets high ranks in the whole grade. Next semester, he will study biology HL (high level) and ESS (Environmental Science and Society.) It was his privilege to be a member of the team. iGEM not only improves Leo's subject skills but also practices his cooperation spirit of group work.
Chang Liu
The text you are reading is written by Chang, a silent boy from Shanghai Pinghe Bilingual School. During his middle school years, he had an interest in natural science. Thus, he chose Biology as a major course in the first year of high school. This is his first time to take part in such a tremendous project in iGEM. He managed to design public research as well as the sales of group products in the early stage of the academic competition in dry steam. He is very independent. He believes that he will keep his fine performance during the remaining time in collaboration with his team members in the wet lab.
Ziyi Wang
Her name is Ziyi, a warm and cheerful girl with a wide range of interests. She has been interested in biochemistry since childhood. She started to join the chemistry group in primary school, and she was also very interested in life science. In junior high school, she achieved good results in chemistry. This contest enhances her study in biochemistry so that she can unswervingly go on in the field that she is interested in.
Xiaoqing Yao
He is a high school student from The High School Affiliated to Shaanxi Normal University. In this iGEM team, he acts as a member of the wet group and dry group. Along with his interests in physics and mathematics, he is willing to step out of his comfort zone and tries his best to accomplish his work. To finish the task, he believes in his team that they can deal with academic questions and personal problems.
Xintong Zhang
This is a girl who pursues her love of sciences and economics at York House School, in Vancouver. She is willing to provide her own opinions respectfully and engage in group discussions actively. Followed her interests, she split her time evenly in labs conducting the experiment and in office carrying out a series of events related to this project.
Jiale Zheng
He is a student from Shanghai World Foreign Language Academy. He has taken biology and chemistry as his science course in school and aimed to learn pharmacology and molecular biology in college. He is the proprietor of the school's Brainbee club and has hold many lectures about fundamental neuroscience. Through igem research, he practiced his laboratory skills for biology experiments and had taken record of the whole research.
Ziyao Shen
He is high school student from Catholic Memorial High School in Boston. Shen spends his most of time on studying biology and chemistry in high school with his partners and teachers. Therefore, in order to expand wider associations with bio-chemistry, he involves the creation and adjustment of RNA Thermometer in the laboratory and the Wiki part of the experiments. By participating in iGEM competition, Shen is looking for a new and higher platform to challenge himself since this international competition would improve his academic ability and increase his knowledge.
Erica Chen
My name is Erica Chen. I'm a high-energy, reliable, and determined youngster with a positive outlook. I'm motivated and hard working with the ability to adapt, learn fast and deliver within tight timelines. I love to do volunteer works, because I have strong will of helping others to become successful as well as strong desire of making positive impact to the world that we live in. I developed strong passion toward Biology since middle school, and attended many biology related competition both on and off campus. My fervor toward Biology encouraged me to participate in this year's iGEM.
Boqin yang
Boqin yang is a junior from Ross school of business. He is very positive and hardworking. He is very athletic, and he is the MVP of his school's track team. He has a great passion for doing whatever he likes to do, especially on seeking how life works and creating things that never have been created by others before. That's why he chose bioengineering.
Xinyu Tang
Rin Tang is a hard working high school junior with an intense desire to over-achieve. She never stops at the limits of a science text book, and spends most of her spare time hunting down information about exploring science in real life or not widely known. She has fallen deeply in love with knowledge and curiously and perfection are her muses.
Jinyue Wang
I am Luna Wang, one of the members in Shanghai High School Team. In our team, I am responsible for both experiment and publicizing work. During experiment, I collaborated with my team members and recording each lab step. After doing experiment, finishing and improving lab notes are my work. I also did collaboration with other team, like exchange our ideas with the Xiamen High School Team. Also, for publicizing, I did introduction and preaches.
Jia-Yu Lin
Lin is a high student from Shanghai and she interests in the region of animal biology. In order to get more deep and specific in biology, she involves in the genetic study since gene is the fundamental cause of diversity. By participating in iGem competition, Lin fairly understood the construction of gene and gave her an actual chance to alter the genes' order. Lin mostly participated in the preparation of the experiments and recording of laboratory processes. She also managed the formation of the team's Wiki page to make sure it could be clearly presented to others.
Zongting Shao
He is a Grade12 high school student from Wuxi Big Bridge Academy. In the summer iGEM competition study, he was mainly responsible for part of dry group work and part of wet group work. In the dry group, he prepared the presentation slides on the basis of his understanding of experiment topic. As an iGEM wet team member, he also took part in Vaccine safety community scientific publicity other than lab activities guided by Dr. Li from Shanghai academy of science institute of botany. In the lab, he participated in plasmid extraction, DNA gel electrophoresis, streaking for single colonies.
