Safety
Q: What risks could your chassis pose to you or your colleagues in the laboratory, or to your community or the environment if they escape the lab?
A: We are not using a chassis organism.
Q: What experiments will you do with your organisms and parts?
A: We will construct several RNA thermometers, so we will use PCR and then test the thermometers using TXTL cell-free expression method.
Q: What safety, security or ethical risks would be involved with such a use?
A:If our product does not work properly, it may provide wrong information about the quality of the vaccines. If a heat-damaged vaccine is used accidentally because of the quality issue of our product, the recipient's health may be affected.
Q: How will experts overseeing your project help to manage any of the risks you identified in this form?
A: Our experiment will be guided by a doctor in biological sciences who is familiar with experimental procedures and safety.
Q: ow will the rules, training, containment and other procedures and practices help to manage any of the risks
A:1. Work surfaces will be decontaminated once a day
2. Wear protective eyewear and gloves
3. All contaminated liquid or solid wastes are decontaminated before disposal
4. Wash our hands after handling material containing bacteria
5. No eating or drinking in the lab
