It currently works to improve 80 villages around various Bosch locations in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Rajasthan. It focuses on improvement in the areas of Economic Development, Health and Hygiene, Environment and Water, Education, and Infrastructure.
DBT, Govt of India
The Department of Biotechnology was established in the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India, to evolve long term perspective for Biotechnology in India and foster programs to strengthen indigenous capabilities in the emerging fields of bioscience and biotechnology. It aims to establish a strong infrastructure for research and commercialization of biotechnology and use these advances for socioeconomic development.

Twist Bioscience is a public company based in San Francisco that manufactures synthetic DNA for clients in the biotechnology industry. The company sells the genes, gene fragments, and oligonucleotides to customers who use them in basic research, drug discovery (for example, creating monoclonal antibody drug candidates), industrial biotechnology (for example, companies wanting to find better enzymes with which to generate biofuel), and agricultural biotechnology.
