Mentors
We would like to thank Dr. Nina Markham and Dr. Claudia Muñoz for guiding our team throughout the whole season. They have stuck with us through all the ups and downs of our project and have been nothing but supportive. They challenged our team and we are privileged to have them as our mentors.
Experts
Our project only moved forward because of the feedback we received from our experts Dr. Daniel Guerra, Mr. Russell Swanson, and Mr. Steve Markham. They have helped our synthetic biology, hardware, and math modeling teams with all the obstacles we faced.
TASA
TASA has been a crucial part of the focus of our project. They have met with us twice this season and decided to sponsor our team by giving us $2,000. We have used this money to buy the equipment we desperately need to conduct experiments in order to have the first prototype of our bioassay by the end of this year.
Association of American Schools in South America
This year we applied for a Global Citizen Award to the AASSA and we received an award from TIECARE International and AASSA consisting of $1,000. This money has gone towards purchasing supplies to develop our lab on-site at FDR.
