NEW FOR 2019: Project Inspiration and Description
If you wonder why we pick this project, please visit our Description page to see what has inspired us and the goals we want to achieve.
Characterization
We’ve characterized an existing part: BBa_K1319004 and added experimental data to its parts registry main page. Please visit our characterization page or BBa_K1319004 part’s main page for more details.

Human Practices
Our team explored different aspects that our project would be able to have impact on. We found out that our project would be able to play an important role on the prevention work through visiting governmental institutions. Besides, we had discussed the ethical issues about genetic engineering and our project with the Doctor of laws. Visit our Human Practices page to learn more.
Gold
Integrated Human Practice
Based on the theory of Participatory Design, we analyzed who our potential stakeholders were and make sure they participated in our project design. We discussed with the public, professors, doctors, medical laboratory scientist, the government, biotechnological companies, and Doctor of laws. They inspired us to modify our product and fit the user’s needs better. Please see more on our: Integrated human practice page.
Improve a Previous Part / Project
We successfully contributed to the iGEM community with BBa_K2951008 by improving an existing part: BBa_K1955000. There’s much more information on our Improve page, don’t forget to check it out.
Model Your Project
We determined the properties of both aptamers and their targets by website tools, and built model of the aptamer-protein docking structure by algorithms. These models were used to improve our experimental methods, and would be applied to our future work. More details are shown on our Model page.
Demonstration of Your Work
We successfully engineered the aptamer on paper strip for the use of early detection. Please refer to our Wiki page to view the full documentation. → Demonstrate
