BSc in Molecular biology Team leader, smol bean Currently listening to billie eilish - you should see me in a crown A veteran on the iGEM scene, Mika can usually be found either doing pirouettes around the lab or contemplating on the ever-foreign aspect of having free time (who is she?). An avid collector of event T-shirts and stickers, she likes living dangerously, photographing literally every moment of her life and has recently started dabbling into cosplay and music production. With a reusable coffee cup in hand, she’s always wondering how not to puncture gloves with her nails and how to convince people she’s slept for more than two hours. Albeit patience not being her strongest virtue, she overcompensates this with hard work and everpresent optimism. Smollest, but often referenced to as the scariest when calm, this hurricane of a woman makes sure her teammates are always well fed and ready for the next challenge!
Tsveta Tsanova

BSc in Molecular biology Currently listening to Nujabes ft. MINMI - Shiki No Uta Tsveta is currently working towards a bachelor's degree in Molecular biology at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She's also a member of the Student Council in her faculty, doing her best to keep present and future biology students in a friendly and supportive environment. Outside of the lab, she enjoys hiking, although she would call it “exploring” because she avoids repeating the same hiking trail twice. She rarely finds interest in city life, but she would never refuse a drink over some smooth jazz in the late hours. Being a lab rat comes with having some skills in the kitchen, so baking delicious cakes comes naturally to her. She also has a soft spot in her heart for cats, therefore we aren’t surprised at her choice of a meme.

Just like most miserable medical students, you can find Ivan in the library, buried under his textbooks. He is a naturally curious person and is fascinated by basically everything. He tends to express his” too much gene” when it comes to working and starting new projects. That’s the reason why his everyday schedules are impossibly crammed and why sleep deprivation is his constant companion. Apart from the white coat and the stethoscope around his neck, ones or twice a year you can spot IndiIvan with his oversized backpack and passport sticking out of his pocket. Exploring nature, new places, exotic cultures, and heart-racing experiences is his way to escape reality and dive into the adventure.

That’s because nothing can escape her true detective nature. Currently finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular biology, Asya is getting ready to step into the world of forensic scientists, so she can become the female version of Horacio Kane (or at least someone as cool as him). Might pay much more attention to your dog than you, because of her obsession with the cutest, smartest and purest living creatures that ever existed on this planet. Sarcastic is her middle name and she’s always ready with a snarky comment.
