Composite Parts
RhlA with promoter and RBS
This is a composite part which Includes a promoter (BBa_J23100), RBS (BBa_B0034) and RhlA (BBa_K3146007)
Required for rhamnolipid surfactant production. Supplies the acyl moieties for rhamnolipid biosynthesis by competing with the enzymes of the type II fatty acid synthase (FASII) cycle for the beta-hydroxyacyl-acyl carrier protein (ACP) pathway intermediates. Catalyzes the formation of one molecule of beta-hydroxydecanoyl-beta-hydroxydecanoate from two molecules of beta-hydroxydecanoyl-ACP. Is the only enzyme required to generate the lipid component of rhamnolipid. Rhamnolipid production plays an important role in swarming motility.
EtrA with promoter and RBS
This is a composite part which Includes a promoter (BBa_J23100), RBS (BBa_B0034) and EtrA (BBa_K3146005)
Electron transport regulator A (EtrA) involved in the iron homeostasis. Regulates anaerobic growth on fumarate, nitrite, Fe3+, TMAO, DMSO, thiosulfate and sulfite, but not on nitrate nor Mn4
RpoE with promoter and RBS
This is a composite part which Includes a promoter (BBa_J23100), RBS (BBa_B0034) and RpoE (BBa_K3146009)
RNA polymerase, extracytoplasmic transcription factor E found in Shewanella oneidensis MR-1 strain. Involved as an aerobic response transcription factor.
CRP with promoter and RBS
This is a composite part which Includes a promoter (BBa_J23100), RBS (BBa_B0034) and CRP (BBa_K3146004)
cAMP receptor protein involved in the iron homeostasis. The expression of many anaerobic respiratory genes in MR-1, including those for the reduction of fumarate, dimethyl sulfoxide, and metal oxides, is regulated by cyclic AMP receptor protein (CRP). CRP i coordinately regulates the expression of catabolic and respiratory pathways in MR-1, including d-lactate dehydrogenase and anaerobic terminal reductases. CRP directly binds to the upstream regions of omcA and mtrC in the presence of cAMP, and activates the transcription of these metal-reduction genes.
