About

Varuna is a fourth year Bioengineering major with a minor in bioinformatics and was raised in Fremont, CA. She stood out in her applied electronics courses and plans to continue her education to achieve an M.D. or PhD. She was selected for the iGEM team for her exceptional skills in project design and team collaboration.

Varuna is working on the production and purification of CAHS 7 and CAHS 2, Tardigrade-specific intrinsically disordered proteins. She also plays a role in human practices to build awareness of NDV chicken vaccination.

BME51 wasn't that bad
