I’m 17 years old. I’m responsible for the bioinformatics part, and some wet-labs. I’m studying in a special biology class because in the future I would like to become a medical doctor. My main interest is molecular biology. In this project, I got a great opportunity to see, how work organizations should be and also I can plan and do our own experiment, like in a research group. Another important thing for me is we can meet and get in touch with researchers and we were taught by them. For further studies, I would like to apply to Universities in the UK or in Hungary.

I also like philosophy, and read this type of books. I find this whole competition an exciting and interesting oppurtunity to see the proccess of planning and making a project like this, to see how the one-man excerises become a team’s ’’study’’.

I’m a 17 years old high school student in a biology-oriantated class. I’m really interested in biology, specially in molecular biology, genetics and physiology, and also in chemistry. In the future I’d like become a biological researcher. I’m delighted to participate in iGEM, I think it’s a very great opportunity for young people. We can have insight into researching, we can experience its versatality, and during our work we learn a lot of new methods. In my free time I play the piano, read novels and play badminton.

I’m 16 years old. I’m interested in researching, primarily in zoology and microbiology, I’d like to became a biologist. I would like to continue my studies in Hungary. I have a lot of contact with domesticated and wild animals, because I live on a farm. I'm very happy to be involved in this competition, because I think this project is a very good opportunity to gain experience. I think our project deals with a major problem, it's fantastic to be able to work on it.

I am 18 years old. I am mostly interested in molecular changes and human genetics. I would like to pursue medicine, however at the same time I would love to do research. For me dedicating my life to discover new effective treatments for different problems and through this helping others improving the quality of their life is very appealing to me. Overall, the opportunity to participate in the IGEM competition would allow me to gain experience, knowledge and hopefully form plenty of friendships.
