We were featured on the Future Flux Festival site. At this festival we showcased our biodegradable detection system and informed the public about our idea, and what iGEM is all about.

An article was published on our university - the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS)'s website. Our University is quite big; there are 15 different faculties in Rotterdam, hence for us, it is very hard to reach that many students, especially those of the studies not at our location. Therefore, being presented on the RUAS website is a very big help for us, in reaching students we did not gave the chance to before.

To raise money for our project, we decided to start a crowdfunding on experiment.com. We may not only draw more attention to us, we also have the chance to attract investors for our future iGEM teams.

Tikkie


21 August 2019

For raising money we created posters with each team member and a tikkie code. A tikkie is a payment app, where people can wire money to an account linked to the QR code. We spread the posters out at the different faculties and locations of our university. As we said before, we are a multidisciplinary team, so we decided to hang up posters on all of the locations of our member students. You can still donate ;)

We were interviewed by the school journal "Profielen" of the Hogeschool Rotterdam. We talked about the iGEM competition and our project, explained how our HRDK system will work and also talked about our expectations in Boston.
