Overview

As marijuana usage has recently been legalized in Canada, team Queen’s Canada took the opportunity to work with the controlled substance to develop a THC biosensor encased in a portable roadside testing device. The idea behind the GreenScreen device was to have the ability to excite the fluorescent protein in an antibody solution bound to THC molecules, measure the amount of THC based on a concentration vs illuminance relationship, and display the results to a display while simultaneously sending more detailed data to a receiving device through Bluetooth communication.
