Several members of the NYU iGEM Team had the opportunity to give a presentation on synthetic biology and our project at the New York Hall of Science. We discussed the scope of synthetic biology, the applications it has, and why we joined iGEM. This was followed by a panel on how students can get involved in research and what we’ve learned from our own experiences as student researchers. The audience was a very interactive group of high school and college level students.
