I am part of the Lab team and coordinate Human Practice events. Besides, I study Molecular Life Sciences as my Master's course. In saving the world, I enjoy the possibility of doing research within a team and learning a lot. On the other hand, time management poses a big challenge to me.

I am currently studying in my 6th semester of the Bachelor in Biology. I'm interested in microbiology, a huge variety of books and live concerts. Beginner level boulderer. Enjoying late-night design tasks for the team.

Ale Lab & Data wrangling

Hello! I'm a biophysics student on the first semester of my Master's. Originally on the modeling team, I ended up in the lab, and also lending a helping hand wherever I could. When I'm not in the lab (does that ever happen?), I like to play guitar, bake or play tennis.

Patrick Website & Lab

4th semester student in the bachelor of biophysics, involved in various endeavors. As an iGEM-member I contribute to our website team as well as to some tasks in the lab. Beside my excitement for PET degrading chlamys, I am primarily interested in molecular biophysics and synthetic biology. Basketball, a lot of reading, politics and online culture are also a big part of my life. Most recently, awareness-raising for sustainability issues has also become one of my endeavors.

Darius Lab & PR, Team Leader

In the lab, I coordinate the Chlamy-transformations and work on the cloning efforts, often until late at night. As Communication expert, I arrange cooperations with other teams as well as with the industry. Besides, I enjoy making music as a percussionist or at the turntables.

Andrej Lab & Modeling

A day without me is like a day without sun. Besides, keeping the team motivated with my ambitious ideas, my efforts in the lab are directed at improving the PETase enzyme and cultivation of our Chlamy-algae in the bioreactor. Additionally, I am enthusiastic about modeling algae growth.

Dimitri Lab & Modeling

I'm part of the Lab Team and specialize on Chlamy transformations and screening of our mutants! Additionally I also work on modeling the PET degradation by Chlamy. At this moment I'm finishing my bachelor thesis in theoretical biophysics and at the same time I'm in my first semester of my Biophysics Masters. I like playing music and going to jam sessions in my free time.

Paul Lab & Cultivation

Hi, I'm Paul and I study Biology at the Humboldt Uni in Berlin and my part in our iGEM Team is to develop a sustainable way to degrade PET with the help of Chlamy, to recover terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol in a bioreactor. (We establish a Chlamydomonas Toolkit to clone and express enzymes like the PET-degrading PETase and MHETase with the help of the MoClo standard.) Besides, I work in the Department of Plant physiology at the HU. When I’m not in the Lab I like going to concerts and climbing.

Elena Lab

I am just about to finish my Bachelor's degree in biophysics and part of our Chlamylicious Lab-Team. Working within a group of students and developing a project that tackles an important environmental issues caused by man, excites me about our iGEM project.

Marc Human Practice

I am a student of Biophysics and interested in corporate sustainability. In the iGEM Team I work on Human Practice and assist in the lab.

Hi there! I am a biology student in the fourth semester and absolutely fascinated about plants, plant physiology and the potential of plants to save the world. I'm part of the Human Practice team, the Sponsoring team and lab assistant. Books- and bird-lover when not busy with iGEM.

I did not study, but I'm a passionate Web-Developer and therefore in the Website-Team. When I'm not developing websites, I play guitar in a punkrock band or create stencil-art with spray paint.
