The 2019 iGEM team project of Hubei University of Technology is mainly composed of experts in synthetic biology and molecular biology, who lead students from the school of Bioengineering and Food Science, Art Design, Mechanical Engineering, and the School of Computer Science. Our project is dependent upon everyone's efforts from the beginning to the end, and it’s designed to reduce nickel ion contamination in the environment.
On this page you can find everyone who contributed to the project.
We would like to thank all of the consultants who have assisted us throughout this project. We would also like to thank all the other people who helped us in many ways with this project, whether it was to provide us with valuable advice, DNA, bacterial and fungal strains, and other valuable suggestions. These contributions helped us enormously.
Primary PI
Zhijie Liu
Researcher in molecular biology, assisting us in designing DNA fragments, providing guidance on our experimental techniques, and providing follow-up guidance.
Secondary PI
Yin Zhou
Bioengineering researcher, providing support for the practical application method and Human Practices of our project.
Jun Dai
Bioengineering researcher, supervising our laboratory technology and helping us to finish the project. Guide our competition recommendations.
Instructors
Dan Churchman
helping us complete English speeches, PPTs, the team video ,providing us with presentation coach and oral lessons at the same time.
Han Chen
Assisting us in the oral guidance of the competition and helping us to arrange for the competition routine in Boston.
Advisor
Yongkun Huang
I’m the team's website developer. It is my pleasure to show my front-end design ideas and front-end design language to iGEM Wiki developers around the world through the wiki I developed. I had a very enjoyable time with the team members. I hope that our team will perform well in Jamboree.
Student Leaders
Yuanlin Liu
Responsible for the construction of the mini factory with the relevant team members and link the work of each group to make the art design, wiki, mechanical effectively connect with our project.
Qianxin Li
One of the team leaders of 2019 HBUT iGEM team. She was involved in conceiving the project and ensure the overall direction of the team. Besides, she managed the experiments and guaranteed the normal operation of the lab. She also conducted in molecular experiments in the early stages and then focused on parts’ characterization.
