Medals

We believe we have met the criteria for a Gold Medal

Bronze Medal Criteria
  1. Registration and Giant Jamboree Attendance

We had a great iGEM season and looking forward to the Giant Jamboree!

  2. Competition Deliverables

While reading our wiki, we hope you are excited to see our poster and presentation as well! We have also submitted a Judging form.

  3. Attributions

Hydrolyte was our own novel idea, stemming from our own concerns about the environment and community and synthetic biology can be an answer. However, we were fortunate in the many advisors that aided us and provided continuous advice and support, because, without them, we would not have been able to have achieved our goals. You can read more about people, teams and companies who helped us here.

  4. Characterization / Contribution

Finally, we are particularly proud we were able to characterize a part never characterised before. You can find this here.

Silver Medal Criteria
  1. Validated Part / Validated Contribution

We were able to contribute the following parts to the registry. You can also find it here

Our validated parts: BBa_K2952014 and BBa_K2952015.

  2. Collaboration

We have done a collaboration with St Andrews for our outreach. We have attended meetups and hosted one of our own (see here).

  3. Human Practices

(See gold medal criteria #1 Integrated Human Practices)

Gold Medal Criteria
  1. Integrated Human Practices

Our team took human integrated practices to the forefront of our project. Thinking about how our project affected those outside our lab from the outset. You can read about it here.

  2. Model Your Project

Modelling was a huge aspect of our project, saving us a lot of time in the lab and illuminating redundancies in our initial design. Find out about it here.

  3. Human Practices
