Meet our members!

Brian
I am the Undergraduate Research Team Leader and in my free time I ski, bike, and climb.

Brian

Undergraduate Research Team Leader

I have been a professor at CU Boulder for 13 years, and currently also the Director of Undergraduate Research in the MCDB department here at CU.

Brandon
I'm a senior with two majors in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology and Neuroscience. As a little kid I made up my own language.

Brandon

Undergraduate Researcher

I attended the Colorado-wide collaboration meeting, coordinated our educational outreach, worked on our computer models, as well as wet-lab work.

I am a junior with a major in Chemical and Biological Engineering. In my free time I like to snowboard hike, hydrofoil, and rock climb. A fun fact about me is that I can drink a bottle of soda with my feet.

Lauren

Undergraduate Researcher

I worked mostly with the wet-lab and helped optimize our techniques for each protocol. In addition to this, I worked on the project throughout the school year, and plan to continue working on it after the iGEM competition.

Manasa
I am a senior, majoring in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology and Neuroscience, minoring in Women and Gender Studies and getting a certificate in Public Health. My fun fact is that I can bend my thumb to touch the back of my hand.

Manasa

Undergraduate Researcher

In addition to wet-lab work, I reached out and conversed with clinicians for our integrated human practices efforts. I also helped lead the team with iGEM related forms due to my paste experience with iGEM.

My major is Chemical and Biological Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering and Space. I'm a junior If I wasn’t in the lab I would be hiking, and I was once chased by ski patrol.

McKayla

Undergraduate Researcher

In addition to wet-lab, I attending the Colorado-wide collaboration meeting over the summer and shared our project and ideas with other Colorado based iGEM teams.

stella
I am both a Sociology and Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology major with a certificate in Public Health. I am in my senior year. A fun fact about me is that I can sing my ABC's backwards.

Stella

Undergraduate Researcher

In addition to wet-lab, I created a form for reaching out to potential sponsors, redesigned an excel sheet to optimize the best potential sponsors, and helped design our team wiki page.

Yalin
I am a senior at CU Boulder, and I am a Chemical and Biological Engineer. One time I was camping too close to the road and state patrol stopped by and had to escort me further in the woods.

Yalin

Undergraduate Researcher

In addition to doing work on our computer models using the programs PyMol and PyRosetta, I attended the Colorado-wide collaboration meeting, and helped design our team wiki page.
