Colorado iGEM Meetup
Before the schoolyear began, the iGEM teams based in Colorado had the opportunity to meet up and discuss our research! The meetup, hosted by Colorado School of Mines, was a fantastic opportunity to engage with other iGEM teams about the rewards and challenges of synthetic biology research. The meetup was also great for troubleshooting; the teams collaborated in giving each other human practices advice, and discussed opening up a way to share lab reagents with each other, if needed.
Rice University Collaboration
We participated in a survey conducted by Rice University as part of their human practice efforts! They conducted a meta-analysis to see if the location in which an iGEM team operates out of had any kind of impact on the type of project they chose. We answered some survey questions and gave data which they incorporated into their results.
