Composite Parts
Our best composite part candidate is sfGFP in Ag43 Cassette (BBa_K3003018). This part is at the base displays sfGFP on the cell surface. When a TEV protease in the Ag43 cassette is translated and TEV protease is displayed on the surface of the cell the proteases cleave the sfGFP molecules at the inserted TEV protease cleavage site releasing them into the medium. We measured the fluorescence in the supernatant that the cleaved sfGFP molecules generated. The RFU/OD600 graphs can be seen below, these graphs contain data from 2 different strains.
