A Compilation of Our Submissions

This year our part range was from K2928000 to K2928999. We made a number of new Basic Parts, namely introducing the sequence for the alpha-amylase-inhibiting 0.19 wheat albumin to the Registry, as well as two modifications (E1 and N1) that increased its inhibitory abilities. Additionally, we made constructs to express these 0.19s, with and without secretion tags. We improved on a previous part by adding a promoter of suitable strength to an alpha-amylase with an RBS site (BBa_K523001). As a collection, these parts allowed us to show in our experiments the inhibitory activity of 0.19 and its modified counterparts on alpha-amylase in a realistic system.
