The event included team project pitches, a range of speakers to foster entrepreneurship, and time for collaboration and interaction between teams. The main goal for this event included fostering inter-team connections between iGEM teams in our immediate vicinity, to better help spark collaborations for the iGEM season and create new friendships. </p>

iGEM Calgary is committed to forming relationships. We have been in contact through cGEM to all Canadian teams or by hosting a meetup, participating in aGEM, going to the Pacific Northwest Meetup, sending education packages to multiple teams, and more.

JulyGEM

Our inaugural event

In July, our team hosted Western Canada iGEM teams for JulyGEM, a midsummer iGEM meetup.
